Tottenham recorded a second consecutive win in the Premier League, after having overtaken Brighton by 2-0. The Spurs did not show the spectacular soccer with Stoke City at the weekend when they scored 5 goals, but the goals of Serge Orie and Son Hyun-Min were enough for the three points that Liverpool and Burnley had made to climbin 4th place in the standings. Newcomer Brighton started the season optimistically and achieved some surprising results, but after Wembley`s defeat he is now getting closer to the relegation zone.
