Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi will almost certainly miss today`s visit to Southampton. The German was injured during the Manchester United derby last weekend, and the latest news is that he has failed to recover in time for the `Saints` fight. In the week, manager Arsene Wenger admitted Mustafi`s injury, but he last believed he could rely on the 25-year-old defender:`It is possible for Mustafi to play against Southampton, but he has a thigh injury but it does notis serious. `However, the problem seems to have been heavier than expected, and now Mustafi`s place in Arsenal`s defense will be taken over by Per Mergeser. The 33-year-old German gets less and less likely to play with the Artillery team, but now he has to replace his compatriot. It is believed that Wenger was expecting such a development, and therefore did not play Mertacker in the match adviced by contact with football predi ctions with BATE (Borisov) (6:0) in the Europa League, so that the veteran is fresh to meet the Southampton.
