Nadal against Fognini in New York

Rafael Nadal has qualified for the third round of the US Open. The Spaniard won with 7:6 (5), 6:3, 7:5 over the "diminutive" Argentine Diego Schwartzman after three hours and 41 minutes.

Schwartzman showed an incredible resistance to Nadal, but in the key moments the two-time champion of the tournament according football predictions in USA managed to get the game without losing a set. Especially curious is the fact that the Matador has dominated in the short rallies (0-4 points), where he won 72 of 210 points.

In the third round, Nadal will face one of the extremely inconvenient rivals, at least when it comes to matches this season - Fabio Fognini. Rafa lead with 5:2 wins over the Italian, but for this season lagging behind with 1:2 success.

Fognini managed to win in Rio de Janeiro and Barcelona, and the only victory of the year for Nadal over the Italian is at the final in Stuttgart.

According to the world bookmakers, Rafa is the favorite in this match with odds of 1.28, while the victory of Fognini is estimated at 3.75.
