The corruption scandal in FIFA will not affect the conduct of the World Cup in 2018 in Russia.
It said UEFA President Michel Platini at a press conference in Tbilisi before the match according 24footballtips for the Supercup of Europe between Barcelona and Sevilla tonight.
Platini appears to be a major contender for the post of FIFA President in the upcoming elections early next year.
'The decision to hold the World Championship was taken and was recently confirmed by the executives. As for the change in the Russian Football Union, I see no reason why this effect in some way. Russia has the right to choose whoever he wants. A reminder that we`re here to talk about football.`, said Platini.
