In his turn the No12 in the scheme Lopez made only one break - in 2: 5 in the second half when Andy served for the victory.
This was a victory No497 in tournaments ATP for the Olympic champion. So he has become the British player with the most won matches in the Open era, which started in 1968, overtaking Tim Henman, who has 496. More in Miami tennis the player from Dublin may extend to his 500th victory, which would make him the 46th with such achievement.

The next rival of Murray is the defending champion Novak Djokovic, who qualified without a game because of the refusal of Bernard Tomic due to injury. Both of them will meet for the 25th time. Until now the Serbian leads with 16-8 wins. Nole won the last five meetings (all in hard) as the most fresh are the memories of the final of the Australian Open in January, when he beat with 7:6, 6:7, 6:3, 6:0.

Andy beat the world number one for the last time in the final of "Wimbledon" in 2013 - 6:4, 7:5, 6:4.

"Since last year our matches are very equal, - commented Murray. - Last season was difficult for me, especially the first 6-7 months. But he (Djokovic) is a top player, especially on this surface. He played great well here in the past. He will be also fresh for the semi-final, so it will be difficult for me. I feel that I play well this week and if I keep that level for a long period on Saturday I`ll have a chance. "

Tonight are the other two quarterfinals at Indian Wells Gardens. In the games are Roger Federer - Tomas Berdych and Rafael Nadal - Milos Raonic.
