Asian Handicap – The Best Choice For You

Many people have not even heard about Asian handicap. Some of you may have heard about it but think that it is something very complicated. Actually, that is not exactly true. Asian handicap is a bit peculiar, but still is just a type of bet on a football match. You should learn how to use it when you do your soccer picks. The main and most important thing about the Asian handicap is the fact that tie is excluded as a possibility for betting. You can bet on one team only. On the other side, the ordinary handicaps (the so-called European handicap) offer an advantage for one of the teams. Equality participates as a possible choice, too.

24FootballTips.com will introduce you to the basic types of options that Asian Handicap offers. Take a look at them:

 • Without priority (0) – it is marked with zero. You may wager on a victory of one of the two teams. If the game ends in a draw, then your bet is returned. Example: Inter 0, Juventus 0;

 • Whole goal handicap (+/-1; +/-2; +/-3) – just like the European handicap, one of the two teams gets an imaginary head start, consisting of one or more goals. For example, the handicap says: 'Barcelona -1' against 'Valencia + 1'. If Barcelona wins with 1-0, then the stake will be returned. At 2-0, 3-0 and so on, you win. If there is a tie or Valencia wins, then you lose;

 • Half a goal handicap (+/-0.5; +/-1.5; +/-2.5) – again, there is a priority set for any of the teams, with the difference that the opportunity to possibly draw is completely eliminated. That simplifies your task to do well-grounded football predictions. So if you bet on one of the teams to win, then you win in two cases: if there is a tie and if your team walks away a winner for real;

 • Combined; a quarter goal handicap – that is sometimes noted as follows: +/-0.25; +/-0.75; +/-1.25, etc. As that type of the Asian handicap is a combination of a handicap with a goal priority and one with a half a goal priority, it is most commonly presented with the two handicaps. For example: 'Bayern Munich 0 &-0.5' or 'Bayern Munich 0.5 & 1'. They could also be presented as a 'Bayern-0.25' and 'Bayern-0.75'. What is special about this type of Asian Handicap? It is widely-used by punters, because the bet is actually divided into two parts.

For instance, if you bet $10 on 'Bayern Munich -0.25', then you actually bet $5 on 'Bayern Munich 0' and $5 on 'Bayern Munich -0.5'. If the team wins, then you win both bets. If it ends in a draw, then you lose the half amount but get back the other half. And if Bayern Munich loses, then you lose everything. Maybe you are wondering what '-' and '+' mean? To facilitate you even more, the bookmakers show you which team is a favourite and which is an outsider in a certain match. So '+' is for the outsiders and '-' is for the favourites. Now when you know the basics of the Asian handicap, next time you bet you’d better take advantage of that great option for you!
